This vessel is non-traditional in that I used the complete cross section of the tree. This incorporates the pith, the center of the tree which can often lead to splitting, however I was successful in preventing that by controling the drying process. Note the bark layers at the widest section.Not seen in the photo, the base tapers inward about an inch, and is 1 1/2" high.
